Congratulations to Our 2023 Ann Kilian Scholarship Winner Catherine Ajenifuga!
Catherine attended our 2023 Conference through her scholarship and even got to meet her benefactor, Ann Kilian, in person! Catherine educates the public through her association as a member of FREED- Female Re-enactors of Distinction- an auxillary organization of the African American Civil War Museum. She tells the story of Charlotte Forten Grimke, an authoress, an educator, and abolitionist who fought along side of her husband Rev. Francis Grimke for the freedom of her people..
