The society sponsors an annual conference and two publications: the monthly “Calling Card," which provides announcements of events of interest, and “At Home and in the Field," a quarterly e-journal which features the research interests of members.
SWCW offers scholarships to college and high school students. It supports the research of members and provides opportunities for cooperation in that research. SWCW encourages members who are reenactors and offers presentations and networking to assist them in researching their subjects and in establishing and strengthening their impressions. Our annual dues follow the calendar year, beginning on 1 January of the year. Dues paid in the middle of the year are only applied to that year - not carried over to that month in the following year. The password to the Members Only portal is changed in March of each year. That password is provided to dues-paid members. As new dues payments are made throughout the year, the password is provided to the persons making those payments. If you'd like to pay dues for more than one year at a time, that is welcome - if doing so, please enter a message to that effect in the comments section of the dues-payment form. If you would like to make a donation along with your membership payment, please contact the Society at SWCW1865@gmail com.
