                       Message to All SWCW Members
Please join me in offering my deepest gratitude to Juanita Leisch-Jensen for a job well-done.  As she announced in July at the conference, she
has officially stepped down as President and has completed her service on the SWCW board.
During her 6 year term, Juanita has been the driving force behind the board’s activities.   Her organizational skills have kept the board constantly
focused on the tasks that needed to be accomplished.  Without her deadlines, the conferences might not have run a smoothly as they have.  She
kept us focused on the needs of the organization.
Juanita had a vision for SWCW and guided the board to strengthen its legal and financial responsibilities with the goal to become a recognized
501 (c) (3) organization.  The strides we have made are in direct response to her initiative.
Juanita has kept us true to our mission - A membership organization dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of women’s lives
and roles in the American Civil War.  We are fortunate to have access to her vast knowledge and to her collection of artifacts of the time.
We appreciate her willingness to share with us and will continue to call upon her expertise in the future.

Thank you, Juanita.

Linda Lipscomb, President, Board of Directors - SWCW
