Vicki Betts
Vicki Betts is a librarian at the University of Texas at Tyler. She received her B.A. in history and English from East Texas State University in 1976, and
her M.L.S. from North Texas State University in 1977. She has edited Civil War letter sets for Military History of the West and Chronicles of Smith
County, Texas, has written several articles for Citizens' Companion magazine, and maintains a webpage largely devoted to Civil War era newspaper
accounts of the Southern homefront at http//www.uttyl.edu/vbetts.
