Science from the Simmons College Graduate School of Library Science.
Her professional experience includes a brief stint at the Boston Public Library (History Dept.) followed by a
return home to Baltimore to work at the Enoch Pratt Free Library – Baltimore’s public library. After retiring
from the Pratt, Marva joined the staff of Howard University’s Moorland Spingarn Research Center as Senior
Reference Librarian. She has now retired (again) and continues her interest in historical research on a
personal level.
