Glenna Jo Christen
Glenna Jo Christen has a B.S. in Education and Information Media from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. She started Civil
War reenacting at Historic Fort Snelling, St. Paul, MN, in 1983 and is a founding member of the Living History Society of Minnesota. She
now lives in Warren, MI with her husband.
Glenna Jo has given presentations and leads workshops on a variety of mid-19th century civilian topics around the US and Canada.
She also writes articles for The Citizen’s Companion, The Watchdog, and Civil War News. Among her many ongoing research projects,
she is compiling a database of detailed information on original women’s garments, including fabric, measurements and construction
details.
