Chance Harvey
Chance Harvey received a Ph.D. in English from Tulane University, an M.A. in English from Duke University and a B.A. in English
from Millsaps College. Chance has taught English at numerous American universities and is currently teaching at Mississippi Gulf
Coast Community College in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Chance has presented to several conferences on the topic of her book The Life and Selected Letters of Lyle Saxon (1891-1946) and
her current project of researching Saxon’s grandmother brings her to us. Her other published works include the topics of Melrose
and Frogmore Plantations and reviews of academic books on the fiction of William Faulkner.
